Dr. Holtkamp is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialty in upper extremity. She is a native of Crystal Lake, graduating from Crystal Lake South High School. She attended Northern Illinois University, where she completed her degree in Physical Therapy with honors. Her physical therapy background enhances her ability to guide patients through the healing process to reach their goal of complete recovery.
She completed her medical training and orthopedic residency at Northwestern University Medical School. While in residency, she participated in the care of athletes from the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks, Northwestern University and the Joffrey Ballet.
Dr. Holtkamp received her fellowship training at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. During her fellowship, she fulfilled coursework at the Mayo Microvascular Training Center. While at Mayo Clinic, she trained with world-renowned shoulder, elbow, and hand surgeons with decades of experience.
