Tom graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree followed by receiving his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia. He proceeded with a three year Post Doctoral Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston studying the genetic basis for Obesity and Infertility. This was when Tom decided that his passion was in patient care. He went on to attend the Baylor College of Medicine Physician Assistant program graduating in 2008. Since then he has worked as a PA in Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine.

Tom joined Crystal Lake Orthopedics in September 2010 working primarily with Dr. John Daniels. When not assisting Dr. Daniels in the office or in surgery, Tom is an avid runner having completed many marathons and ultras. He hopes to complete his first ironman in the coming years. His goal is to see his patients return to their activities.
